Faux Paper Memory Box
This memory box design was inspired by some of my paper art I have used for cards & scrapbooking. The idea was to make the painted sections of the box look like paper - making memories in a box, not a scrapbook . The background was textured to give the illusion of texture to the faux paper areas. Patterns were added to the sections using painting, stamping and stencilling techniques. The card and buttons were adhered using Atelier Impasto Gel.

Melancholy Clown
I sketched and painted this clown using a clown image in an old Walter Foster book as the "model" I used a limited palette of Chromacryl student paints in red, yellow and blue (a warm and cool red, a warm and cool yellow & a warm & cool blue) plus 2 or 3 earth colours. I made the clown look younger than the original so I call him "the clowns son"
