ART IN THE MAKING PROGRAM
Chroma sponsored Moruya Primary School with Atelier Interactive artist’s quality paints for art making activities.The aim was to create pieces for a fund raising auction,they managed to raise $7500 for future school art resources. This country Primary School is aware of the benefits that encouraging creativity brings to learning. Within the last two years the school's quest has been to promote art making.
At Moruya Primary they organized each class to produce one or more major works with the help of local artists. The Primary school consists of 450 students - 19 classes, the children were involved with the artist from concept to completion. The event was advertised throughout the shire through posters, councils' exhibition, mail out list, local paper and radio and Eurobodalla Shire Council website
'Art in the Making' in early July was a huge success. The works were exhibited for public viewing and auction, an event enjoyed by many in the community. All funds raised went back into the school to support future arts programs.
Moruya Primary greatly valued Chroma’s sponsorship in assisting the aim of encouraging art within the school and published Chroma's onvolvment where ever possible.
