Judith's Florals
The following paintings are a bit of a mixture of various florals but they are the ones which I have had the time to edit and make ready for the web. Many of the images of my paintings were too large for the web so needed some work to make the image files smaller - I will endeavour to change my web pics from time to time for interest. Enjoy
Antique Rose Tray
This is a small, nicely shaped mdf tray, which has been crackled on the rim with Jo Sonja Decor Crackle. It has been painted in soft greens, creams and golds. The crackle has been overpainted with semi-transparent Jo Sonja's Rich Gold to give an extra antique effect to the crackled rim. The design features what I call my "Messy Dabby Roses"

Red Rose Cluster Card
Another Messy Dabby Rose design but painted on a card this time in vibrant reds, done with Jo Sonja's, a great paint for using on cards.
|
Hydrangea Pot
This pot is a large terracotta pot which was sealed on the outside with Jo Sonja's All Purpose Sealer and painted with hydrangeas in blues, violets and burgundys with a complement of scumbled foliage effect background and leaves with some stroke ribbon flowing through the design

Briar Rose Card
A single "Messy Dabby" Rose, again painted on a card using Jo Sonja paints
|
Roses on Silk
These "Messy Dabby" Roses are painted, tone on tone, on the wrong side of a polyester fabric which has a slub in it. The fabric looks and feels like a lightweight silk shantung. It is a great fabric to paint on. I used Jo Sonja paints and as the cushion would not be washed often I chose to use the paints standing alone and without JS Textile medium. I heat set the paint when it was cured with a hot dry iron using a soft cotton cloth between the iron and the paint/fabric. A great result - the cushion was painted about 8 years ago and still looks good

Jude's Violets
A simple violet design painted on a card aain in a soft messy dabby style
|
Wooden Rose Caddy
Painted on one of Robert Brown's lovely bentwood pieces, this design in my soft messy dabby rose style was done for a display piece at Timber Turn which was owned and run by Robert and his wife Virginia. Painted directly onto the beautiful timber, using Jo Sonja paints in a delicate transparent style incorporating with the paint, Jo Sonja's Sealer, Clear Glaze and Retarder Mediums at various stages of painting

Pansy Card
Another floral in my messy dabby style of painting - all were painted using Jo Sonja paints and mediums

Fantazy Flowers
See Judith's number 4 for this image again accompanied with a little information, this was added here so that it was the current one on the main page for the teachers
