Normanhurst West Public School Art Exhibition
Here are some wonderful images from Normanhurst West Public School’s recent Art Exhibition sponsored by Chroma Australia. Now in its second year, the exhibition is part of the school’s huge annual Family Fun Day event of rides, markets, music, food and festivities, which has been going for over 30 years. Organised by the P&C it raises much needed funds which go towards teacher support, school maintenance and major projects such as the recently constructed covered outdoor learning area and the purchase of Smart boards.
This year the show comprised some 450 works, including paintings, drawings, sculptures and dioramas from each class, as well as an Open Category for budding artists from kindergarten through to Year 6. Thirteen entries in the Open Category received encouragement awards and a paint set donated by Chroma. Our congratulations to all participants for a really great exhibition and especially to the talented winners who included Mia Soupidas (Year 2) for her delightful cat painting and Caitlin Cameron (Year 5) for her skilled Gerringong landscape.
