Dian Coker has been awarded the Chroma Art Award for The Art Scene Mitchell School of Arts. Her winning entry was the beautiful acrylic painting “Flowers”. As part of her prize, Dian has chosen to attend the acrylics workshop run by Helen Cottle at the Summer School in January and is looking forward to gaining new skills and inspiration from working with such an excellent tutor.
Chroma Australia has been a long time supporter of The Art Scene Mitchell School of Arts and offers an $800 first prize comprising a week’s tuition by the professional artist of the winner’s choice, plus $100 worth of Chroma paints, as well as a second and third prize of $250 and $100 worth of Chroma paints respectively.
The Art Scene Mitchell School of Arts is held at Charles Sturt University’s Bathurst campus each January and July. Offering a week-long variety of professionally tutored art workshops from beginner to experienced participants, it attracts artists and tutors from across Australia.
