I have always had an interest in Art, but didn't really take painting seriously until 1991, when I started Fine Art lessons with Donald James Waters. This experience opened my eyes to an exciting world of colour and imagination. I learned all I could about all types of Art, and many different mediums, attending workshops, classes and courses in anything and everything that was available to me - I loved it.
Folk Art lessons followed and I started teaching in 1993.
Frogs' Hollow Studio was opened in 1996, and Folk Art, Decorative Painting and Fine Art classes have been held here ever since.
I joined the Chroma Teacher Support Scheme (now TAPP) when it started in 1999, since then I have held "Product Workshops and Demonstrations" - in Brisbane, all over Queensland and Northern New South Wales, using the range of Chroma Paints and mediums.
For the last two years, I have been studying for a Diploma in Visual Arts -Painting and Drawing - (part time). This has really opened my eyes and taken me way out of my little square, and I have learned so much.
Being able to paint is such an exciting and rewarding thing to be able to do, and learning to "see" gives me such a lot of pleasure.
