Batik Tulips
This painting is a watercolour technique on rice paper. It is also painted using the batik method of waxing each subsequent layers after adding another layer of colour. It is then adhered to a stretched canvas using Atelier Binder Medium.

This magnolia was painted in Interactives using many layers of glazing to achieve the required glow. The painting is inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine.

White Waratah
I am lucky to have neighbours in my street that have some beautiful flowers. This white waratah is painted in Atelier Interactives. I used them as watercolour paints to complete the background and then painted the flower in the traditional acrylic way.

Purple Iris
Painted in Interactives with Archival Oils glazing. This has been painted for the art society area at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2010 and was sold.

Lilies
Decided to do a painting of 'Hot Shot' Cala Lilies in Jo Sonja and Interactives. It was going to be something completely different until I did the background and then it took a different direction. Gotta love painting when it steers you where it wants to go.

Dahlia with crackled frame
This was painted with Jo Sonja Decor Crackle in the background frame area and then the flower was painted in Atelier Interactives. Another experiment which will be on exhibition at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2010
