I started this painting years ago & it was left for a very long time with not much work done to it as I was very constrained to painting neatly back then - I finally decided it had to be painted & finished so tackled it recently
It is painted in a DECORATIVE STYLE using JO SONJA PAINTS & MEDIUMS & I used Pthalo Blue & Pthalo Green with Titanium White and Clear Glazing Medium to stain the pine frame. When that was dry, I dry brushed straight paint (with lots of paint in the brush but with a light touch) in the same colours to give it a casual look
It is an original design of Carol Sharpe, a teacher on the Chroma Teacher's Programme. I have taken a little artistic licence & changed some colours and created some lost edges that I wanted to have but it is not much different to the original design of Carols. I was glad to get him finished & really enjoyed painting him especially now that I am not constrained by "neat" painting
Any beginner painter who has gained some confidence using a brush would be capable of painting this delightful piece
Carol can be found on the Chroma teachers pages under S & she is in Ashmore, Qu
