Oyster & Maritime Art Museum

In this class, artists will learn ways to enhance the depth and light in a landscape painting using Interactive paints and mediums, a Chroma artist representative will address issues such as composition, color and value as well as challenges associated with this genre. This class will be as a plein air workshop. Tthe museum has a great location for plein air.....overlooks Assateague Island's lighthouse, lots of marsh, water, egrets, ponies, etc.).

Unlike traditional acrylics, all 75 of the "interactive" colors do not suddenly form a skin, changing the painting process and giving you plenty of time to blend and rework unresolved areas of a painting. The patented formulation allows even touch-dry paint to be reworked or ragged-off to blend or reveal layers. Archival quality and lightfast, these intense colors dry to a satin-like finish without a plastic look or feel, and with minimal color shift.

A Chroma artist will introduce the product, speak to its features and benefits, and then get the attendees to begin painting. The Chroma artist facilitating the event will be available for questions and comment. this event is designed to be interactive and fun - giving us the opportunity to introduce the product and get people excited. support materials include presentation boards and printed collateral. Chroma will supply the paint and mediums necessary. The attendees will supply their own surfaces, brushes, and associated materials.
