Atelier Interactive Professional Artists' Acrylics offer a truly unique and different acrylic formulation. In 2003, by rethinking the typical acrylic formulation methods, Jim Cobb - Artist, Educator and Paintmaker - designed an acrylic paint so revolutionary it now has a patent pending.
With Atelier Interactive Professional Artists' Acrylics, for the first time an artist can control the open time. Work can be done wet-in-wet by adding more moisture with a fine mist spray. Work can be done wet-over-dry by simply not adding moisture. One acrylic paint offers it all . . . . the benefit of a longer open time, and the convenience of rapid drying!
This workshop takes an educational approach to introducing the product to the students and professors. The Chroma artist facilitating this program will speak to the class about Interactive within the context of art, art history, and the history and technology of acrylic paints. The Chroma artist will explain the techniques and tools necessary to fully exploit the unique qualities of Interactive. After this introduction, the artist facilitator will give the students the opportunity to paint with and experience Interactive. We will supply the paint and mediums necessary, but ask the students bring their own preferred painting surface, brushes and associated materials.
